Milk price for January 2023 will decrease by 0.86ppl (1.0 €c/kg) for conventional and organic milk
From 1st January 2023, the Arla on-account price for conventional and organic milk will decrease by 0.86 ppl (1.0 €c/kg). The quarterly currency exchange rate adjustment negatively impacts the on-account price by 0.23 ppl.
This means the UK manufacturing price for conventional and organic milk will be 51.12ppl and 55.90ppl respectively.
Arla Foods amba board director, and farmer owner, Arthur Fearnall, said: “Over the last month we have experienced a continued decline in global dairy commodity prices across categories such as yellow cheese and butter. European and US milk intake has now begun to increase from the previous stable levels. The outlook is negative, driven by a decline in commodity prices and reduced consumption.”

While our farmer owners continue to face inflationary pressure on farm, as we enter 2023 ensuring a sustainable dairy future and the most value for our farmer owners milk will be a continued priority.”
